CCI plans to start Crossover Preparatory Academy (CPA) in the fall of 2017. CPA will be a 7th-12th grade all-boy private school focused on developing leaders in our community by equipping boys academically and spiritually. The goal of CPA will be to leverage the valuable lessons learned through competitive sports to develop athletic scholars who have a love for Christ, a love for learning, and a love for our community.
According to the 2013 Digest of Education Statistics, African-American males have the lowest four-year college graduation rate in the country. Achieving a bachelor’s degree is one of the strongest predictors of economic stability and currently in our community 33% of all adults never receive even a high school diploma while only 5.2% of residents hold a bachelor’s or advanced college degree. CPA will aim not only to prepare young men for college but to impart in them a love for God and love for our community that will motivate them to return to be leaders in North Tulsa when they complete their studies.
If you have a son who will be in 7th grade in fall 2017 and are interested in learning more about CPA, please contact Philip Abode.
