The program combines athletic and sports skill development, math and reading tutoring, and STEM. Churches partner with us to host VBS during the afternoon.

Crossover Kids After School Program

To help serve families in our community and address the educational needs of our kids, we provide an after school program for K-6th grade students at Hawthorne Elementary School. Our program runs Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 5:30 and starts with a healthy snack, then goes into an engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) class that this fall is focusing on LEGO Robotics program. From there our kids, get focused reading tutoring with Reading Partners as well as homework tutoring with our StreetLeaders, volunteers and staff. The after school program days wrap up with spiritual/character development and a full meal.

*Volunteer Tutors

Crossover Kids volunteers typically serve at one or two days a week for a couple hoursThis is a huge help to us! It is a great opportunity to develop relationships with our kids and encourage them to be all that God created them to be! Our greatest need right now is to have volunteers who can help during the STEM teaching time before our StreetLeaders arrive between 3:00 and 4:00.

If you are interested in volunteering with the Crossover Kids After School Program, please contact Crossover Kids Director, Elizabeth Holman.

*All volunteers are required to pass a criminal background check and complete the Crossover Kids Volunteer Training.
